Its work comprises: • The creation and acquisition of musical instruments and enabling apparatus that are appropriate for individual disabilities • Commissioning and undertaking research into instrument development, the barriers to participation, teaching methods, and the social impacts of our work • Procuring instruments for the OHMI Instrument Hire scheme • Supporting instrument lessons for disabled students (the OHMI Music-Makers programme) • Lobbying government for policy changes to support fully inclusive music-making.
