On May 1, 2002, Law 5/2002, of April 11, 2002, on the Creation of the "Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Técnicos en Informática de Castilla-La Mancha" was published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha (B.O.E. no. 129 30/5/2002). This Law granted ALI the capacity to develop the constituent process of COITICLM, which was finally finalized with the celebration of the Constituent General Assembly on October 18, 2002 and the publication of its Statutes in the D.O.C.M. no. 16 of February 7, 2003.
