Carbon Combat was born from the idea of creating something light (carbon fiber inspired) for combat sport application. It also draws inspiration from Japanese minimalism, as the key creator behind Carbon Combat is based in Kanagawa, Japan. Japan has a rich history of 武術 Bujutsu (martial arts) and the 武士道 Bushido (Way of the Warrior) and together with a contemporary metropolis setting in Neo-Tokyo, Carbon Combat melds the two in what we call; Urban Zen Apparel, the old to the new, the yin to the yang with karmic type Taoism that hard and soft must live in harmony with each other. Brazilian Jiujutsu or Arte Suave (the gentle art) draws on these principles as it being one of, if not the most, gentle form of Martial Arts there is, utilizing precision and efficiency. It was the Samurai’s choice of art for unarmed combat, as in armor, striking proved ineffective.
