Cetie is a membership based widely recognized mainly European inter-professional organization of industry experts (users and producers) to produce technical reference documentation – pre-standards and best practice guides – to achieve quality standards in the bottling industry. Cetie pre-standards and best practice guides are dedicated to the bottling of food liquids and beverages, cosmetic and perfumes as well as pharmaceutical products. Cetie members are manufacturers of glass/plastic/metal containers and caps (metallic/plastic cap, wire cages, cork stoppers etc.), fillers & brands, bottling/packaging/labelling equipment manufacturers, and national & international professional organizations. Cetie technical documentation is recognized in those fields as reference, which can be used as evidence in case of litigation. Our documents can be proposed directly as draft CEN / ISO standards. Cetie is convenor of: CEN TC261/SC5/WG21 (Glass packaging) CEN TC 261/SC5/WG25 (Rigid plastic packaging) ISO TC63 (Glass Packaging) Committees of experts mandated by its members produce Cetie documentation. The technical committees can be Permanent (PET / Glass containers and cap manufacturers, Quality-Security-Environment, etc.): dedicated to a sector, or ad hoc : dedicated to a specific document. The Cetie members according to needs identified in industrial practice propose the work items.
