Civic involvement includes: past-secretary of the Missouri Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, past-president of the Cass County Historical Society, Treasurer of Hope Haven of Cass County, Inc. a domestic violence and sexual assault shelter, president of the Peculiar Area Chamber of Commerce and past-president of the Harrisonville Rotary Club. Ms. Laffoon lives and practices law in Peculiar, Cass County, Missouri, and occasionally plays golf.
