Polymun is a private company performing contract development and manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals as well as liposomal/LNP formulations. The most recent and prominent examples is Polymun’s contribution to the Covid-19 vaccine of BioNTech/Pfizer. Polymun has developed two biosimilars – FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), marketed by Gedeon Richter under the brand name Bemfola, and erythropoietin. Furthermore, Polymun is manufacturing and distributing HIV antibodies and antigens as research reagents. Polymun operates in accordance with current GMP guidelines and holds an Austrian production license for pharmaceuticals (§63 Austrian Pharmaceutical Law) thus meeting the EU requirements for drug manufacturing.
