VUP, a.s. is a leading petrochemical institute located in Slovakia, specialising in the research and production of chemical specialties. With over 60 years experience in research and development (R&D) and over 900 international patents, VUP is recognised internationally through numerous research projects together with renowned European chemical producers. Our expertise besides others lies in continuous R&D of raw materials for the production of polyurethane dispersions (PUD), specifically of dimethylpropanoic acid (DiMPAc), hydroxypivalic acid (HPVA), and the recently developed dimethylolbutanoic acid (DiMBAc). This technology allows VUP to cover 30% of the DiMPAc market in Europe.
