UR Medicine Labs improves healthcare through high quality, timely and cost-effective laboratory testing. This is made possible by consultation, teaching, research, and education. As part of the University of Rochester Medical Center, we support medicine of the highest order by developing new treatments for disease and ushering in the next generation of diagnostic testing. Our clinical laboratories now serve a widespread physician population with roughly 30 patient services centers across Monroe County and Upstate New York. In 2016 alone, we processed 7.8 million patient lab tests.
