The South East Wales Rivers Trust
www.sewrt.orgThe South East Wales Rivers Trust is one of the eight rivers trusts in Wales. The Trust was formed in 2007 and its members, volunteers and sponsors are committed to protect and improve the aquatic environment and the associated habitat of the rivers in the South Wales valleys. We are a registered charity, relying on funding from government, businesses, charitable foundations and donations from the public. Since our formation, we have opened up over 75Km of river for fish passage, created spawning grounds, removed invasive species, promoted water based leisure activities and worked in schools to teach children about the importance of rivers in the natural environment. Over 2000 children have benefitted from our education programs.
