The James W. Foley Legacy Foundation was established to continue the vision of Jim Foley who was held captive for two years by ISIS in Syria and murdered in August 2014. The Foundation has three pillars: 1. To support American hostage families and advocate for the safe return of American hostages; 2. To promote press freedom and safety for conflict journalists; 3. To empower disadvantaged youth through education.
