The Village of Lakemoor is a pro-growth community that was incorporated in 1952 and straddles and is the gateway to Lake and McHenry County. The Village is approximately 51 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. The Village boundaries straddle Lake and McHenry Counties. The Village’s strategy is to create a diversified, expanding and dynamic economy through the development of new businesses and the enhancement of existing businesses. The goal of this strategy is to create business organizations that will remain, prosper and expand within the Village. The Village and business community must work together to create quality jobs, higher wages and a quality of life unsurpassed by others.
