Carbatec® outgrew its home-based premises and opened its first showroom in 1989 and has since fundamentally remained a family-based business. Developing new tools and machines has been a feature of the business from the start, beginning with the Carbatec® Mini Lathe which was developed by Geoff Lowe. Introducing new products to customers has also been a feature where each new edition of the Carbatec Product Guide bought the best and most innovative products from around the world to Australia. The family team at Carbatec® has always set out to provide tools not previously available in Australia and combed the globe to find these to make available to the customers.
