Richard L. Levey, Ph.D., AICP, Managing Director of Levey Consulting, is a land use and development executive with extensive experience in public and private sector economic development strategy and execution. He had an accomplished career with the City of Orlando, and Tavistock - the privately held owner of Lake Nona Property Holdings. Dr. Levey has an elaborate public sector network in the state of Florida through his involvement as a Board Member of the Sunshine State Government Finance Commission, and participation in Leadership Florida and Leadership Orlando. A graduate of the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, he has lectured at numerous state and national conferences and is an Adjunct Instructor with the School of Public Administration at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Levey received his Ph.D. in Public Affairs and Policy Research from the University of Central Florida. He has a MA in Geography/Spatial Analysis of Land Use from Arizona State University and a BA in Geography/Urban Studies from Wittenberg University.
