Throughout my life, I have used art to express my experience as a Black Queer woman in the United States. Arts of Royalty is and has been an example to my peers and others; we can celebrate ourselves and our community while fighting to be properly included in this society. Arts of Royalty has one main goal: to celebrate the art within blackness. What is the Art of Blackness? The art of Blackness includes everything that pushes back on oppressed systems for all people. Our joy, our triumph, and at times our sadness; the ability to allow ourselves to feel deserves celebration. Arts of Royalty is not about just acrylic to canvas or digitally creating images for people to connect to. Arts of Royalty is a representation of stories that don't often get told. This is only the beginning.
