SATA was founded in 1983 as a provider of cutting-edge IT systems to support the production activities and services of private companies and public bodies. Since then, it has undergone a number of stages of development: - From 1983 to 1992, it focused on designing and creating the IT systems of several small town councils, a local health authority and a number of manufacturing companies, the majority of which are in Emilia-Romagna. - Since 1992, it has taken part in Italian and European technological research and development projects in partnership with public and private end users and research institutes. Thanks to these projects, SATA has built up considerable expertise in the design and development of complex software systems. - In 2002, it started taking prototypes from research projects and engineering them in order to make commercial software products for the market. It can now offer an integrated range of solutions that are designed specifically for SMEs operating either on their own or in networks with their clients, partners and suppliers. SATA is a member of OpenPEPPOL and a certified Peppol network Access Point.
