Based on note 1 of law for amendment of Article(5) of civil Aviation law ratified on April 15, 1988 by Islamic consultative parliament and according to its constitution approved on november 3,1990 by board of directors, Iranian Airports company was at first established under the title of “ Airports Engineering company.” The word “Engineering” was omitted from the title of the company by virtue of the ratification of the board of directors on June 22,1994. After some amendments in its constitution, the company has been doing its duties under the title of “ Iranian Airports company on the basis of the ratification of Adminisrative High council on january 10,1995 and assigned functions in law related to economic , social and cultural development of the country in the field of reforming the structure of public organizations and making them more efficient with regard to policies of transportation section, all administrative and tenure functions of civil Aviation company has been transferred to Iranian Airports company. By virtue of its constitution approved by board of directors on December 5,2004 Iranian Airports company is considered as a holding company enjoying independent financial and legal structure. It is affiliated to the ministry of road and transportation and is already run by public company’s laws and regulations.
