Wenneman Meat Co. has been in business since 1927 processing fresh cuts of locally raised pork and beef. In 2011, Wenneman built a new 22,000 sq ft, $6 million state of the art processing facility after a devastating fire in January of 2011. Our new federally inspected facility is more efficient, with new equipment, higher sanitation standards, redundant cooling and power and more. Our homemade hams, bacon, smoked turkeys; fresh and smoked sausages, uncooked/cooked corn beef, and deli lunchmeats are made on a daily basis. We are federally inspected and also pass an annual third party inspection, which holds us to an even higher standard. We make over 10,000 lbs of bacon each week, and recently removed 20 lbs of salt from the brine, making our bacon a little bit healthier. I’d like to also mention that we have “bacon end slices” that you may find favorable at nearly half the cost of regular bacon. These are the end pieces that are not perfect lengths. Some may look like a spoon or be 2-3 inches long. These are perfect if you’re using bacon in your green beans or on salads or baked potatoes. Hogs and choice cattle are raised and purchased locally. Primal beef cuts such as sides, front and hindquarters, whole market hogs, roaster pigs, are available. Choice and select box beef, pork, poultry, homemade taco filler, Italian beef, pulled pork, pre-cooked ready to eat items, cheese, casings, etc. available.
