The Women in Economics Students' Society (WESS) was established at the University of Melbourne in 2020 with the overarching aim or encouraging women to study and pursue a career in economics. WESS has a strong association with the Women in Economics Network (WEN). We are also a welcoming and inclusive university society with membership open to anyone who supports the aims of the Society, regardless of gender.
