The African Footprint Co ltd (the mother ship) has been stretching its branches and setting down roots within Tanzania for over a decade. Bush2Beach Safaris is a safari outfitter based in Arusha designing custom made safaris that cater to specific interests and needs. Under combined English and Dutch ownership/management, with over 15 years based in Tanzania, Back in 2007 we began working through our non-for profit organization “The African Roots Foundation” (ARF) with the Maasai of Esilalei. We have come a long way since then, crossing many hurdles to achieve many great things with our Maasai neighbors. The ARF is very sensitive in the way we work with the Maasai, our main focuses being education, water collection through rain harvesting, distribution of safe water filtration bucket systems, sanitation through long drop dome slab toilets and solar lighting. Isoitok Camp Manyara came into existence back in 2009 with just 2 permanent tents to accommodate Bush2Beach clients who were looking for that true “Grass Roots Culture Experience” – over the years the trend and popularity of our super eco friendly camp was evident and as of 2012 when we opened the doors to 8 permanent tents still following our ethics in practicing “Sustainable and Responsible tourism” to which Isoitok Camp was amongst the first properties within Tanzania to be audited by Responsible Tourism Tanzania ( RTTZ) and received there after the award of Responsible Tourism certification of compliance – which basically translates that we are managing our business in a responsible and sustainable manner. Our award tree does not stop there and it was a great honor in 2014 to be selected in The World Tourism awards in Madrid to which Isoitok Camp Manyara walked away with a Gold medal award for “Innovation in Enterprise”. This gave us all a great sense of achievement and recognition also energizing the team to continue in what we strongly believe in and have been doing since 2007.
