The Georgia BioEd Institute’s mission is to serve the life science industry by growing Georgia’s and the Southeast’s workforce through support of STEM education and life science career development. We reach the future workforce through K-12 teacher training, supporting hands-on learning by providing equipment and supplies to classrooms, and via university-to-industry programming to position college graduates for industry success. The Equipment Depot takes in consumables and equipment from life science companies around Georgia and distributes these supplies to teachers in order to enable hands-on learning and career awareness with students, leading to a stronger life science workforce.
