Australian Diagnostic Imaging Association
www.adia.asn.auADIA is the Australian Diagnostic Imaging Association which represents private radiology practices across Australia. Formed in 1999, ADIA works to ensure to diagnostic imaging remains accessible, affordable and safe for all Australians. For this to occur, private radiology practices - which currently deliver the majority of Medicare funded diagnostic imaging services cost-effectively - must operate in a sustainable, properly funded, quality focused health system. To this end, ADIA regularly consults with government ministers, senior departmental officials and a wide range of other organisations and individuals to help develop the most efficient and effective diagnostic imaging sector possible. ADIA also works to support the radiologists who oversee the imaging services at our member practices. Highly qualified and experienced medical specialists, radiologists use increasingly sophisticated imaging techniques to provide expert medical advice to patients and their referring doctors. Their work helps deliver better diagnosis and treatment for millions of Australians every year.
