Bethel Recreation Association Mission Statement Provide opportunity, facilities, and leadership for the youth of Bethel School District and those that reside in its boundaries. To play in safe, organized leagues during the Bethel School District year. To promote safety, good sportsmanship and fair play. Bethel Recreation Association is a non-profit organization, we are a separate entity from the Bethel School District. We want to thank the Bethel School District for all their support by letting our Bethel Recreation teams use your facilities for practices and games. Since the 1960's when Bethel Recreation was founded, we have known about the benefits of organized sports for kids. Bethel Recreation is dedicated to creating opportunities for kids to learn and thrive through sports. Why are sports for kids important? Fosters Better Communication Instills Discipline & Taking Direction Learn Good Sportsmanship Goal Setting Working as a Team Jobs for High School Students Teaches Good Exercise Habits & Coordination Smooth Transition to Higher Grades Student athletes typically have: Higher grade point average Fewer days missed from school Fewer discipline problems Lower dropout rates Lower percentage of drug / alcohol use Higher graduation rates Donations to Bethel Recreation are always welcome. Donations might include: Sports Equipment Money for the Scholarship Fund Office Supplies Advertisement Field supplies & equipment
