When organisations want to change, they usually try to convince to people logically. Research shows that people put in 4 x more effort when theyβre emotionally committed to change. Particularly for large-scale change, getting people interactively involved from an appreciative perspective creates transformational results. Then: positivity creates momentum and enables people to creatively and effectively tackle even the most challenging problems. So, donβt force people to change, but engage them emotionally by positive change. Change does not have to be accompanied by resistance and agony. Be positive about what works today, and optimistic about what you could do better tomorrow.
