Waypoint Engineers was cultivated by over three decades of structural engineering experience and rooted in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Washington. Started in 2018 with two accomplished structural engineers, Waypoint Engineers seeks to continue to grow a strong engineering firm with a group of technical experts and leaders. This new firm is owned and managed by Principals Jared Fischer and Scott Howard. Jared’s clients include traditional building structures including low-income housing, schools, adult living facilities, water treatment plants, seismic retrofit, breweries, as well as contractor support, and deep foundations. Scott’s clients include technical seismic analysis, shake table testing, transformer qualifications, seismic retrofit, resiliency planning, finite element analysis, and seismic performance based design and assessment of new and existing buildings.
