Ohio Valley Archaeology, Inc. (OVAI) is a full service cultural resource management firm located in Columbus, Ohio. Established in 1997, we provide consulting services for the study and evaluation of cultural resources. Our mission is to be the very best at what we do while providing cost-effective, efficient, and timely services for our clients. OVAI is SBA 8(a), DBE, MBE/EDGE, SBA/WOSB/EDWOSB certified, as well as a GSA Schedule Contract holder (#GS10F172BA). OVAI specializes in historic and prehistoric archaeology, geophysical archaeological surveys, geospatial analysis (GIS), and cemetery surveys. We routinely work with experienced architectural historians. While much of our work focuses on assisting federal agencies and private applicants (e.g., federal permitting, grants, programs, and licenses) comply with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), we also provide services to state, local, and private historical societies and groups, academic institutions, and others who have interests in the preservation and documentation of historical resources.
