FREDITOR
www.freditor.netFred Fouquet has been at the helm of a great many projects that have cut through to make cultural impacts over the years. He’s been hired to craft commercials that stand out from the pack. From a comedic Superbowl spot for Wonderful Pistachios with Psy, to creating a realistic spot where a Nissan Rogue jumps onto a train, to Apple’s iconic “Mac vs. PC” campaign, he’s partnered with the director and agency creatives to get the best from the material. He’s been brought in by huge musical acts to craft their larger videos, like Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA”, Green Day’s “Jesus of Suburbia”, Foo Fighter’s “Long Road to Ruin” and Dr. Dre’s “I Need a Doctor”, among many others. A few of his many film title sequences (“Island of Dr Moreau, “Mimic”, “The Avengers”) have gone on to both be in the Museum of Modern Art, and also appear in the curriculum of design students. Feature film directors have also used Fred’s talents, from model compositing on the set of “Independence Day” to concepting and creating a pivotal scene in “Pacific Rim” to co-editing “London Fields”, a feature film starring Billy Bob Thornton & Johnny Depp. Ad agencies and directors have relied on his vast experience to create new alternative ways of storytelling, coming from his almost 20 years of cutting high profile work. He tends to inject a musicality to situations that heightens emotion, comedic effect, or quirkiness to the story. Fred graduated from Ithaca College with a BFA (Film, Photography & Visual Arts). Soon after, he moved out to Los Angeles and jumped directly into editing. He’s won numerous awards over the years. Cannes Lions, Clios, Andys, Monitors, Tellys, Broadcast Design International, MTV video awards, Ad Age “best editing”, among others. He has edited many Super Bowl spots over the years. One year, his spot reached #2 on USA Today’s poll for the best Super Bowl spots that year.
