Suzhou Industrial Park Institute of Vocational Technology (hereinafter called “IVT”) is a higher vocational institute initiated by Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong and approved by Jiangsu Provincial Government. In January, 2004, IVT succeeded in winning the certification of ISO9001. In 2005 it was approved the base of “UNESCO-BJTU Chair on Cooperation between Higher Engineering Education and Industries”. IVT was appointed by Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance one of 100 “National Demonstrating Vocational Colleges”, and was the only one within Suzhou district.
