Pelican Technologies was founded in 2005 in Dayton Ohio as a software development firm focused on RFID sensors and what would later be known as “the cloud”. In the last 12 years, we have written custom software applications that are quietly running behind the scenes at major multinational corporations and Fortune 100 companies. While bringing these software elements to our clients globally, we are also committed to Dayton, local Dayton business, and the greater Dayton Community. In 2012, Pelican created the TurnStone RFID Inventory Counting Tool. Later expanded into a full-fledged system, TurnStone stores its information in a private secure cloud and can be tied to other existing inventory control systems that don’t have a RFID component. Customers using TurnStone have seen a 90% reduction in reconciliation errors and a 12 fold decrease in the time required to perform an inventory. TurnStone solves inventory control and process efficiency in a scalable manner to meet the needs of any sized inventory process. In addition to TurnStone, Pelican has recently launched several new applications. BarStock makes the laborious process of liquid volume inventories more efficient and less time-consuming. Agracount allows organizations to track from seed to sale, agriculturally derived products in and out of regulatory requirements. Pelican is growing and expanding operations.
