Est. in 2008, MAGIC HOUR FILMS (MHF), is an award winning production company with offices in India & Singapore. MHF has produced 5 Feature Films & over 50 Documentaries TVCs & Music Videos. MHF has provided production services on more than 25 international film projects. These include a feature film for ARTE (France): “Alexandra David Neel – J’irai au Pays des Neiges”, “The Science of Compassion” a docu-feature by internationally acclaimed director Shekhar Kapur, another docu-feature “Kalachakra” featuring His Holiness the Dalai Lama and several documentaries for National Geographic Channel, Discovery and other TV Channels. MHF also provided production support on the Ang Lee's Oscar winning feature film “Life of Pi”. Arun Karthik's "Nasir" is MAGIC HOUR FILMS latest feature film production. It is India's first feature film to receive the reputed NFF-Hubert Bals production fund. Nasir was nominated for the coveted Tiger Awards at the 49th International Film Festival of Rotterdam and went on to win the prestigious Netpac Award. Another movie produced by MHF is Aditya Vikram Sengupta's critically acclaimed "Jonaki" an International co production that traveled to several international film festivals including Rotterdam, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Sydney, Barcelona and many more before winning the Silver Gateway award at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in 2018. It is now playing on Netflix. Vijay Jaypal's psychological horror "Nirvana Inn" starring Adil Hussain (Life of Pi) which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival 2019 is MAGIC HOUR FILMS third feature film production. MHF has produced over 50 TV commercials for several multinational brands including Volkswagen, Honda, BMW, Nissan, Fiat, Johnson & Johnson, P&G, Diageo, FedEx amongst others. Recent awards for MHF include “Best Documentary” for Danger Zone – Kabul at the Asian Television Awards, Singapore. A silver for its TVC "Warrior Princess" for Forest Essentials at the Abbys Advertising Awards.
