The Ciocca Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an interdisciplinary hub, a resource, enhancing current and future opportunities for SCU students to experience, research, collaborate and advance innovation and entrepreneurship on campus. The Ciocca Center will help fill the strong desire of entrepreneurial students at our Silicon Valley-based campus for support, mentorship, thought leadership, competitions, experiential opportunities, future-minded research, and exposure to every aspect of the entrepreneurial experience. Those students who have no desire to create a startup will also benefit from the Ciocca Center—as faculty across campus are supported to infuse their own courses with concepts like design thinking, innovation, and the entrepreneurial mindset. Each of those areas is vital for students to remain adaptable, resilient, and prepared for a workplace where they are likely to change jobs every five to six years.
