Friendly Like Me
app.friendlylikeme.comFriendly Like Me (FLM) works to improve accessibility in public places and to make accessible places easier to find—so more people can take part. Accessibility or access is critical to participation, and information provides the confidence to take part. But that information is scarce, subjective, and hard to find. Too often, it’s the lack of accessibility information that causes people to avoid activities they would otherwise welcome, including patronizing size-friendly and accessible businesses all over the US. At Friendly LIke Me, our mission is to change that--to everyone's benefit. In collaboration with reviewers, advocates, and business owners, Friendly Like Me aims to create more friendly places. Providing a platform for people and business to interact about the specific accommodations needed in to attract customers that prioritize fit and accessibility. Note: US adults with disabilities including many people of higher weights represent the third-largest market segment in the country, after African Americans and Hispanics. The American Institute for Research reports the discretionary income for working-age persons with disabilities is $21 billion. Claim your business to tell patrons which amenities you have and those those you don't. (It's very, very Friendly to tell people in advance if you can't accommodate them.). Friendly reviews measure the presence or absence of specific accommodations, reducing the subjectivity of star-based review systems.
