The ambulance sector representative body in New Zealand. Ambulance New Zealand is the independent membership body for the range of organisations that make up the Pre-hospital Emergency Care sector in New Zealand.  Our main aims are: To raise the profile of ambulance services and to encourage these services to achieve greater integration with the wider health system. To provide ambulance services with an organisation that can support, coordinate and implement nationally agreed policy. To provide the sector and other stakeholders with a central resource of information about ambulance services. To support its members and to act as the interface between them and their stakeholders if necessary. To ensure that ambulance services share their knowledge and skills to better meet the emerging challenges and opportunities facing all ambulance services. To encourage more efficient use of ambulance service resources through closer working relationships (for example national procurement initiatives) To be the first point of call for a range of enquiries about the ambulance service from many stakeholders, including politicians, the Ministry of Health, ACC and other emergency services – as well as international colleagues, the general public and media.
