Our bespoke Articles of Association details our purpose together with processes that must be maintained to serve that purpose. Established in 2009, ORB is a business membership organisation with a difference. Our mission is to create positive change for business and society by showing small businesses the financial benefits of being socially and environmentally responsible. We support our members and also PROMOTE them in our special online directory, http://wwwTheResponsibleBusinessDirectory.co.uk Businesses from all sectors can apply for membership, but they must pass the Responsible Business Questionnaire, make a pledge to always consider people and the environment and aim to make a positive impact, and have a meeting, normally online, with a senior member of staff to ensure values are aligned. We also offer a Responsible Business/Social Value Course with various Certification Options. The Responsible Business Standard was launched in 2011 and validated by Anglia Ruskin University. Originally only available as a full onsite auditable certification, it has now been remodelled to provide a superb course and responsible business certification. Primarily designed for small businesses including those with no employees, both the course and certification options are suitable for organisations of all types and size.
