Suffolk Orthopedic Associates, P.C. has been a well established medical practice since 1963. In July of 1986, Dr. Richard J. Tabershaw, M.D. joined the original partners followed by Dr. Michael Lastihenos in 1994. Together they have been continuously growing and expanding the scope of the practice. In addition to the doctors, we have our team of Physician Assistants: Michael Polidoro, and Justine Meserole, who assist the doctors both in the office and the operating room. The orthopedic physicians treat general orthopedics with the majority of their patients being sports related or other upper/lower extremity injuries. X-ray facilities are located on premises and include radiographic, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy. A large percentage of the orthopedic surgical procedures are performed at local surgery centers, which offer a more convenient and patient friendly experience over hospitals for same day surgeries.
