Want the short story? We get it. Hammock Greens is a farm unlike any other. We combine a love for good, clean food, with a passion for growing. But we don’t have “a farm”- we’ve got lots of them! Our farms are built inside shipping containers, placed all around the city. We grow hydroponic greens- a lot of them, in a very small space. Using innovative technology and good ol’ fashioned hard work, we’ve cracked the code to premium, pristinely clean greens, in all kinds of locations. Oh, and we do it 12 months a year. Thats a big deal. Why is that special, you ask? Because local food is more healthful. When our food travels long distances, it loses integrity. We believe that “you are what you eat.” Right now, we’ve tapped into a market of chefs, restaurants, and consumers, who are thrilled at what we grow. We grow hyper-locally, meaning, our farms are located in all kinds of creative spaces- from gallery-walks to homeless shelters to hotels. Local, fresh, and free of pesticides and herbicides- simple. Oh, and its delicious. By the way. But something else drives Hammock Greens. We are chefs and lovers of wine. And that has driven our product, and ethos. Plain and simple, when farmers connect with chefs, magic happens. We didn’t invent that. But we are really good at it. This has translated to our close relationship with local chefs. They count on us. And, year-round growing means that we can constantly stay ahead of the next menu cycle! We harvest to order, and we grow what our chefs want. Thanks for getting to know us!
