The need to organise a festival dedicated to Percussion was understood by a few enthusiastic Music entrepreneurs from Mumbai, India in 2010. After many changes in strategy, thinking rethinking and reformating organisational structure, Gladpeople Entertainment Networks ( Now - Gladpeople Music Management Company) floated The Drum Festival of India - later rechristened to Dumru - The Drum Festival of India and in Season 3 to Dumru Percussion Festival. Since 2011, the Dumru Percussion Festival has featured more than 100 Percussionists from India and other parts of the world in 4 Installments of the Festival. The Company also manages and promotes Indian Musicians - particularly in the Indian Classical Music Space and Curates Unique Percussive Performances in India and a few neighbouring countries. Moving into Season 5 of the Dumru Percussion Festival, informative content and a hardcore focus on promotion of Percussion is the plan from the Organiser in the years ahead.
