Women At Woodstock

womenatwoodstock.annvbaker.com

Women At Woodstock is an active offline and online community for women 50 (or so) and over. We gather for an intimate retreat each year in Woodstock, NY to hear speakers, take workshops, network, enjoy great food and fresh air, and have fun. Through our shared knowledge and resources and the lasting friendships that form at our gatherings, we gain the courage and the tools to pursue our lifelong dreams. Since our first gathering in 2012, we've attracted such luminaries as keynote speaker Suzanne Braun Levine, the original editor of Ms. Magazine; Amy Ferris, screenwriter (Funny Valentines, Mr. Wonderful) and author of Marrying George Clooney; Barbara Hannah Grufferman, spokesperson for the National Osteoporosis Foundation and host of the AARP online video program, “The Best of Everything”; and an eclectic assortment of authors, actresses, businesswomen, and even a supermodel who started her career at age 40+. We’ve grown tremendously through word of mouth and the enthusiastic participation and support of the most amazing women. My hope, as the founder, is to grow this community into a powerful force both for ourselves, for the women of the generations that will follow, and for the betterment of the world in which we live. Some have referred to our gatherings as a “well-educated activist group of aging feminist hippies.” Pretty accurate – and I’m proud of it! We welcome all women from the Boomer generation and above. You can register for our events: a weekend retreat and a writers retreat the following week, at https://womenatwoodstock.annvbaker.com/register. – Ann Voorhees Baker, Founder & Producer
