Sirens of Soul was birthed by women who have experienced firsthand the role of insignificance that has been placed on women in the music industry. The minimization of women is seen on festival stages, on radio, in boardrooms and in every facet of the industry. Where are the big tour sponsorships for women? Where are the big ad campaigns that don’t involve beauty products? We’re tired of hearing that women can’t sell tickets on their own. We’re done watching top level female talent earn half that of a mildly successful regional male artist for the same festival. Our goal is to prove that not only can women sell tickets, they can outsell and out perform their male counterparts. The men who have been running things have made it clear that they aren’t going to be the ones pushing women to the front, it’s up to us to do that. Sirens of Soul promotes collaboration and community between women. We want to foster an environment that is diverse and inclusive of creative women from all backgrounds and ethnicities.
