Responsible Distribution Canada's mission is supported by Four Pillars of Strength: RD Leadership, Education & Training, Advocacy and Member Services. Responsible Distribution Canada (RDC), formerly the Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors, is a non-profit trade association for the distribution sector of the Canadian chemical and ingredient industry. As of January 2017, RDC represents 45 member companies across Canada, with 169 sites. RDC is the voice of Organizations involved in the chemical & ingredient supply chain, who champion health, safety & sustainability through Responsible Distribution. RDC's members adhere to a management program known as Responsible Distribution®, which ensures a continual reduction of incidents that may result in or threaten injury to people or damage to the environment. RDC created and developed the Chemical Supply Chain Management (CSCM) Diploma Program as a way to address 5 critical issues affecting the chemical industry: 1. Inspire succession planning 2. Address loss of corporate money 3. Provide unique education intended for the chemical supply chain 4. Encourage professional development and expertise 5. RDC partnered with the Chemical Educational Foundation to bring "You Be The Chemist"® (YBTC) to Canada, a bilingual learning resource offered free to Canadian educational professionals.
