AIE operates as project manager and contractor on complex projects that requires a lot of expert, specific knowledge and swiftness and flexibility in operation. AIE approach is gathering and combining SMEs as well as individual experts from case to case depending on the project characteristics. Basically, depending on the project characteristics, SMEs are: designing offices, mechanical and electrical installation companies, small companies with some specific process /technology knowledge, producers of specific products, while individual experts are originating from university, institutes , etc. The organization of such project teams is different depending on case, but usual practice was consortium or transparent subcontracting organization - sharing risks and benefits. Operational areas: industry , infrastructure and environmental engineering. In the last years Astra International Engineering is focused on new technological solutions in sludge management. We have been developing and operating a few different systems out of which we are focusing on MID MIX technology and the development of our own mobile and versatile MX Lite sludge treatment plant.
