The Football Business Awards were designed to celebrate excellence and acknowledge success in the business of football. The Awards recognise the essential role that business plays in football, the positive impact of football on the community and vital role played by the businesses which serve the game. This is the national event at which all the achievements off the pitch are celebrated at the end of each year. With an illustrious judging panel selected for their particular experience and expertise the FBA’s has grown into a significant annual networking event. The awards are becoming more and more difficult to win every year, and an increasingly valuable marketing badge for those who manage to do so. Having held the 6th Football Business Awards in November 2017 at Tobacco Dock, the event continues to grow with many deserving winners being rewarded and recognised. The 2016 ceremony presented the Global Football Ambassador award to Jimmy Armfield CBE, who recieved a standing ovation despite being unable to attend the event.
