The Salem Pantry works collaboratively to empower our diverse local and regional communities by ensuring the essential right to convenient and reliable access to healthy food. Salem Pantry provides access to healthy produce, meats, dairy, eggs and shelf stable goods to provide food security for all in need of food and serves as a food distribution hub for North Shore non-profits focused on food security. The Salem Pantry is an agency partner of the Greater Boston Food Bank. Our organization is currently in a major growth phase, having hired its first ever full-time staff in the past year, an Executive Director, Manager of Operations and Food Warehouse Coordinator. We will be adding additional staffing during 2021. Combined with an engaged Board of Directors, the small Pantry staff works closely with partner organizations and countless volunteers to operate its programs. Salem Pantry quickly and strategically expanded services during the COVID-19 crisis to expand our program reach and impact in Salem and the Greater North Shore during the pandemic, which has significantly grown our organizational profile.
