Seaside Scavenge is a waterway cleanup and clothes swap event where litter becomes the currency to purchase pre-loved clothes, books and more at our pop-up market. We invite local musicians to create a friendly vibe, facilitate talks by local environmental leaders and host upcycling workshops. Since our inception in March 2015 we have held over 35 successful scavenges across the East Coast from Magnetic Island to Mornington Peninsula. We have collected 6,131kg of litter, over 105,000 cigarette butts, traded 4,400kg of pre-loved clothes and connected with over 3,000 people in 14 communities.
