Founded in 2006, OpenCity is a creative lab that explores the design of cities. Our cross-disciplinary network of independent creative professionals is comprised of urban planners, designers, storytellers, strategists and advocates. We are passionate about public spaces and the role they can play in building stronger communities. We have taken the lead on learning how to create culturally inclusive public spaces. Our Design for Diversity toolkit has been used in classrooms at top design schools and we are partnering with OCAD University to deepen our design research insights.
