Laing House is a youth-driven, community-based organization for young people ages 16-29 with a primary diagnosis of a mood disorder, psychosis, and/or anxiety disorder. At Laing House, youth who are living with mental illness can get the support they need to rebuild their lives. Laing House is a place of hope not only for youth, but for families, friends and the entire community. Laing House has three locations, Halifax, Yarmouth and Lower Sackville. Laing House is a youth-driven, community-based organization where young people who are living with a mental illness can get the support they need to rebuild their lives. Since opening in 2001, Laing House has assisted hundreds of youth to continue on their path to recovery. With an award winning peer support model, Laing House was the first organization of its kind in Canada.
