Remkes The Poultry Family
www.remkes.nlRemkes / GPS has more than 75 years of experience and specializes in the slaughter, yarn and further processing of poultry meat. We strive for optimum quality every day, throughout the entire process from slaughtering to packaging. Modern production systems and strictly separated logistics flows ensure that Remkes meets the latest standards in production and food safety. Remkes Epe employs around 120 employees who take care of the slaughter and further processing of soup chickens on a daily basis. More than 350 employees work at GPS in Nunspeet. Broilers are slaughtered and further processed at this location. Remkes Convenience in Barneveld will start this fall with a new production company, where we marinate and roast chicken products. All branches will be expanded further this year. We are therefore in full development! Quality, environment & animal welfare Remkes uses fair and transparent trade, responsible handling of animal welfare, the environment and human and animal health as logical policy principles. In the vision of Remkes, collaboration with permanent relations is the way to reduce costs in the production chain and generate maximum value for supplier, buyer and final consumer. Together with Novi-Pluim, the NoviPlus sustainability program has been developed with input from the Animal Sciences Group of Wageningen University and social organizations such as Solidaridad and Nature and Environment. NoviPlus sets requirements for the propagation company and the slaughterhouse in the areas of animal health, human health (antibiotics), animal welfare and the environment. All companies participating in the program are checked and certified annually by a recognized institution (CBD / Verin).
