Wunderkeks was founded in 2012 in Guatemala City on the idea that childlike joy is a value to uphold. Its mission statement is to “nurture the inner child”. Brought to sunny Austin, Texas in 2018, the business grew as an Austin staple at farmers markets. Wunderkeks gained national attention after SxSW 2020, when the event's cancellation pushed the business to seek help to sell the 20,000 cookies they prepared, and social media influencers came to the rescue!! After a year and a half here, the cookies have built quite a reputation, so now they ship nationwide.
