The firm was created in 2013 by Alberto Xavier, Roberto Duque Estrada and Renata Emery, as a result of their split from XBB law firm, where they worked for two decades. With the passing of Alberto Xavier in 2016, two partners joined - Alberto Medeiros and Pedro Simão – and the firm´s practice evolved in a more dynamic manner. Their professionals have wide experience with international tax matters, including treaty disputes, transfer pricing, CFC and cross border transactions. The firm represents clients on domestic tax litigation, consulting and planning for a wide range of business sectors. Xavier Advogados has offices in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Brasília and frequently works with international law firms.
