The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) Enterprise encompasses seven business lines, boasting a workforce of 16,000 located around the globe. The command’s mission is to provide quality goods and services at a savings and support Navy quality of life programs for active duty military, retirees, reservists, veterans, Department of Defense civilians and families. The NEXCOM Enterprise is a non-appropriated fund instrumentality (NAFI) of the Department of Defense and the Department of the Navy. Therefore, most of NEXCOM’s expenses are paid with its earnings and not taxpayer dollars.
