In 1998, I left what some would view as a very secure and prestigious position as a partner at a major Atlanta law firm to start my own practice. It was not an easy decision and, quite frankly, I was scared to death that I had put everything at risk betting on my own “inner voice” that would guide me through this journey. In the end, it was the best decision that I have ever made and turned out better than I could have even imagined on some of those cold, early morning runs years ago. It turned out well for one simple reason-character matters. It matters in life and in the practice of law. In fact, your character is your destiny. I knew that if I continued to practice law with honor, integrity, hard work and a true concern for my clients and their circumstances that all of the pieces would eventually fall into place. I have never wavered from these principles and my commitment to my clients is and always will be that you will be treated with respect, your case matters to me as well as your life and I will zealously fight for you. In everyone’s life, there will come a time when you need someone to stand in your corner, answer the bell and walk out with you to fight the good fight. I will be there for you.
